Socio-economic Impact of Lockdown on Common People of India and Possible Revival Strategies
Today lockout, the familiar term has appeared as a modified term lockdown. A complete lockdown refers to the temporary shut down of non essential commodities and activities except the essential supplies. People should stay at their dwelling place. So in this continuity people in India like others country dace the socio-economic impact of lockdown. But as a human being we should trace the possible survival strategies for India.
Proclamation of lockdown in India is just like the sudden declaration of demonetization. Unplanned lockdown has been announced suddenly without making strong plan. As a consequence socio-economic side is going to demolish entirely over the mother land As India is harvesting based as well as the under developed country, India's economic level is at the sediment. The poor common people, bedrock of Indian economy, are one of the mostly affected categories badly. The poor peasant's can not go to the open market to sell their products due to muffled of all transport modes. The workers who make both ends meet and the employee are connected with the non government institutions, have lost their jobs for the indefinite period. The homecrafts men are compelled to stop their production because of unavailable of raw materials. So, they are deprived of their covetable earnings.
It is to note that the common people can't flow their lives smoothly because they have neither work nor money for this unexpected situation. Such poor condition is the replica of the social position. So, the social vision has been overturned. In this scenario mostly affected people of slum areas will die on account of hunger bitten instead of covid 19. Meanwhile, many migrated and common workers have passed away immensely without foods and take shelter under the tree and deserted roof having no apart room in the small houses like a trapped bird. Specially common people can not return home for the lack of money due to lockdown. Totally they are out of the society. The alluring picture can not be seen in the economical marginalized families because domestic violence cases have been redoubled. It may be frantic onerous for the common housewives in the society. Many working class people have attempted suicide and involved in drinking and looting fatally for foods from the anxiety.
Impact of lockdown may be whatever, but government should take possible revival strategies to placate the socio-economic impact of lockdown on the poor people. The authorities must have to allege monetary relief package as well as social schemes for the strength of the working field like harvesting, small business and home made products etc to bring back the average socio-economic status. This is the vital that the authorities must handle the reasonable distribution of basic emergent commodities among the poor people over the India.
Anyway, we have to rebuild the socio-economic structure leaving the dark impression of lockdown by pushing oxygen in to the life of common people of India.
